Iran FM reiterates ending war in Ukraine

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian addressed important regional issues, especially the Ukraine crisis, and expressed hope that the war would end as soon as possible.

Amir Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Velislava Petrova here in Tehran on Sunday.

Expressing satisfaction with the increase in the volume of trade between the two countries last year, he said that it is not compatible with the economic capacity of the two countries and pointed to the areas of cooperation between the two sides in energy, transit and transportation of goods and food.

He stressed developing trade cooperation between the two countries.

He also addressed important regional issues, especially the Ukraine crisis, and expressed hope that the war would end as soon as possible.

Negotiations on lifting sanctions, as well as emphasizing Iran's will to reach a good agreement were other among other issues raised by Amir Abdollahian.

Meanwhile, Petrova referred to her constructive talks with her Iranian counterpart, and the agreements made to expand cooperation between the two countries in the trade, cultural and sports sectors.

She termed diplomatic efforts to reach an agreement in the nuclear talks in the interests of all parties.
