VP: Iran ready to transfer innovation ecosystem experiences to Syria

Iranian vice president for science and technology Sorena Sattari said Iran is ready to share experiences in creating innovation ecosystem with Syria.

Speaking in a meeting with Syrian Minister of Higher Education Bassam Bashir Ibrahim, Sattari said all the procedure will be changed to advanced technologies and products.

These companies will turn into an important part of Iran’s economy, he added.

Referring to presentation of thousands of knowledge-based products in the 9th IranLabExpo, he said Iranian laboratory equipment and advanced products can be exported to Syria.  

Meanwhile, Bassam Bashir Ibrahim pointed to Iran-Syria cooperation in knowledge-based, technology and innovation fields, saying his visit to Iran was aimed at being informed of Iran’s experiences in universities, research centers and taking advantage of them I the industry.

He also referred to signing MoU worth $10m between Iran and Syria for equipping Syrian public hospitals.

He noted that Syria will follow up transferring Iranian technological equipment and experiences in the framework of an international planning council.

He hoped for developing technology interactions with Syria.
