FM: Iran ready to develop bilateral ties with France

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian in a phone conversation with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian expressed Iran readiness for developing bilateral relations based on mutual respect and interests.

Amir Abdollahian said Iran has pragmatic and result-based approach in bilateral ties and nuclear talks.

He hoped for Tehran and Paris consultations to promote bilateral cooperation.

Referring to US responsibility regarding the current situation for the JCPOA and E3 silence toward US excessive demands, he said Iran is after achieving a good agreement.

He termed US new sanctions against Iran as indicating Iran distrust to the United States and stressed the importance of presenting guarantee and doing effective verifications.

He described Iran's defense program as its right, saying regardless of the US unconstructive sanction behavior, we will continue to reinforce our defense power.

 

 

 

 

Stressing Iran's seriousness in negotiations and its readiness to reach a good agreement, he advised the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to avoid politicizing.

Meanwhile, Le Drian said Paris supports all parties return to JCPOA.

He hoped for Vienna talks success.

Bilateral, regional and international issues were among topics discussed by both sides.
