Zarif hails Indonesia stance to support JCPOA

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif lauded Indonesia stances with regard to supporting Iran nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Zarif in a meeting with Indonesian President Joko Widodo in Jakarta expressed Iran’s readiness for developing brotherly relations with Indonesia and appreciated Indonesia principled stances in UNSC for preserving JCPOA and implementing UNSCR 2231.

Referring to his talks with Indonesian counterpart Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi, he expressed satisfaction with the increase in the volume of trade relations between the two countries and the agreement to use the capacity of the Joint Economic Commission and other strategies to strengthen economic relations between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Joko Widodo stressed the importance of relations between two countries and expressed happiness over developing relations in time of COVID19 pandemic.

He underlined holding consultations in line with promoting trade ties.
