Iran, Indonesia FMs review Afghan peace process

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zari and his Indonesian counterpart Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi reviewed the latest developments regarding peace process in Afghanistan.

Referring to 70-year friendly relations between two countries, Zarif praised Indonesia principled positions in the UNSC for preserving JCPOA and implementing resolution 2231.

He hailed level of trade ties between two countries, referred to trade capacities, emphasized acceleration of finalizing preferential tariff agreement and expressed Iran’s readiness for continuing negotiations in this regard.  

Meanwhile, Priansari Marsudi lauded friendly ties between Iran and Indonesia.

She urged both sides to facilitate trade relations by taking advantage of the joint economic commission and mutual agreements.

Supporting international regulations and the latest developments regarding peace process in Afghanistan were among other topics discussed by both sides.
